What is Everland?

• One of the leading theme parks in Korea.

Getting there by Public Transportation

From Seoul National University Station take Subway Line # 2 bound for Gangnam Station, walk towards exit 10. Walk for about 400 meters until you see the bus stop for Bus # 5002. The bus trip will take approximately 40-50 minutes depending on traffic situation. From the Everland Bus station walk for about 2.27 km until you reach the entrance gate of the amusement park. (Note: Bus Fare is approximately 2,600 won)

WKS: The Wandering Wanderers in South Korea

Traveling and discovering unknown places while at the same time doing adventure (extreme one will do) is always been my passion since I was a kid. Experiencing things away from my comfort zone always makes me speechless and delighted with wonderful memories I always treasure in my life. My endless passion to travel around places and my deep desire to get to know Korea more leads me to apply and eventually become a member of Korea Tourism Organization's "Wow Korea Supporters (WKS)" program.

What is "Wow Korea Supporters" program?
"Wow Korea Supporters" program is a program under the authority of Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) whose main goal is to promote Korea's tourism, particularly those hidden jewels and wonders of it, to people around the globe using the so-called riffle effect mechanism which mean promoting Korea's tourism through the use of online media or networking websites. Currently this year supporters are the third batch of Wow Korea Supporters since it was launched in 2013. 

Who are the "Wow Korea Supporters"?
"Wow Korea supporters" are Asian University and Graduate students currently residing in Korea who exhibits overwhelming love for Korea in totality and passion to travel around the country besides the good command of utilizing Social Networking Sites (SNS). WKS batch for the year 2015 is composed of 30 active supporters coming from 13 different Asian countries including Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Yemen, Turkey, and Uzbekistan. 

What are the tasks and responsibilities of a "Wow Korea Supporter"?
The main task and responsibility of a WKS is to promote Korean tourism especially those not yet really popular to foreign tourists interested to Korea through their personal SNS accounts such as but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumbler, Blog, Youtube etc. using their native languages and other languages they are well-versed. Contents of the post WKS usually utilized includes personally taken photos and self-made videos during KTO sponsored group trips. 

Furthermore, to ensure the members commitment to the program, coordinators continuously give them weekly tasks in different themes that they should diligently finished within the given time frame besides the responsibility of fulfilling an individual and group missions, including individual and group overall review, during and after the trips sponsored by KTO respectively. 

What are the advantages and privileges of a "Wow Korea Supporter"? 
As a WKS they are given the special opportunity to tour around and discover first hand the hidden wonders of Korea for free besides the privilege of having the opportunity to join exclusive cultural programs, shows, performances, exhibits and festivals primarily sponsored by the KTO and/or private entities. 

How to be a "Wow Korea Supporter"?
To be a "Wow Korea Supporter" one should have a passionate and enthusiastic desire to learn about Korea especially its culture, tradition, tourism, history among others. One should also have a good command of English and Korean language aside from their own mother tongue. 

Moreover, given the nature of the program, an aspiring WKS should also be open-minded and be willing to adopt and appreciate the differences of each members cultures and in the end make those differences the focal point to uniquely promote Korea's tourism to the world.

Ang mga WKS sa taong ito ay binubuo ng 30 aktibong supporters na nagmula sa labing-tatlong magkakaibang nasyon sa Asya kabilang na ang Pilipinas, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Yemen, Turkey, at Uzbekistan.

Ang pinaka-sentrong tungkulin at responsibilidad ng isang WKS ay ang pagpapalaganap ng turismo ng Korea bukod tangi na yaong mga lugar na hindi pa gaanong kilala ng mga dayuhang turista na interesado sa Korea sa pamamagitan ng kani-kanilang sariling SNS accounts gaya ng ngunit hindi limitado sa Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumbler, Blog, Youtube at iba pa na nakasulat sa kanilang sariling wika at iba pang wika na sila ay dalubhasa at bihasa. Ang mga nilalaman ng mga sulatin ng WKS ay mga larawan na sila mismo ang kumuha at bidyu na sila mismo ang gumawa habang isinasagawa ang mga paglalakbay na ipinagkaloob sa kanila ng KTO.

Ang isang WKS ay mayroong espesyal na opportunidad na makapag-lakbay at madiskubre ang mga natatagong yaman ng Korea ng walang anung kabayaran bukod pa sa pribilehiyong maka-sali sa mga eksklusibong programang pang-kultural, mga pagtatanghal, mga eksibisyon, mga pestibals na pinangungunahan at ipinagkakaloob ng KTO at ng ibang pribadong institusyon. 

Paano maging "Wow Korea Supporter"?
Sa mga naglalayong maging "Wow Korea Supporter" kinakailangang ikaw ay nagtataglay ng malaking pagmamahal at interest na matutunan ang samut-saring bagay tungkol sa Korea kasama na ang kultura, tradisyon, turismo, kasaysayan nito at iba pa. Ang isang indibidwal na nagnanais na maging bahagi ng programang ito ay inaasahan din na nagtataglay ng kagalingan sa paggamit ng lenggwaheng Ingles at Korean bukod pa sa kanilang sariling nakagisnang wika.

와우 코리아 서포터즈는 현재 한국에 거주하며 한국을 사랑하고 여행하는 것에 열정이 있으며 특히 소셜네트워킹(SNS)을 사용하는 아시아 대학교와 대학원생들이다. 2015년 올해의 WKS는 필리핀, 타국, 인도네시아, 말레이시아, 싱가폴, 베트남, 미얀마, 라오스, 방글라데시, 파키스탄, 예맨, 터키 그리고 우즈베키스탄을 포함한 13개의 아시아국가에서 온 30명의 활발한 서포터즈로 구성되어있다. 

‘와우 코리아 서포터즈’의 주요 임무와 책임은 무엇인가? 
WKS의 주요 임무와 책임은 자신의 모국어나 제 2 외국어를 통해 페이스북, 인스타그램, 트위터, 텀블러, 블로그, 유투브와 같은 다양한 SNS에서 한국에 관심 있는 외국인 여행객들을 대상으로 아직 알려지지 않은 한국의 관광지를 홍보하는 것이다. WKS에서 주로 사용하는 컨텐츠는 한국관광공사(KTO)에서 후원하는 단체 여행을 통해 찍은 사진, 자작 비디오를 포함한다. 

프로그램에 대한 멤버들의 의지를 높이기 위해 프로그램의 조정자는 지속적으로 멤버들에게 매주 다른 주제의 임무를 준다. 멤버들은 주어진 기간 내에 개인 또는 단체 미션을 이수하고 KTO에서 후원하는 여행을 통해 개인 그리고 단체 리뷰를 각각 보고해야한다.

Programul "Wow Korea Supporters" este un program demarat de catre Organizația de Turism din Coreea (KTO) al carui scop este acela de a promova turismul din Coreea, in special locurile mai putin cunoscute, pentru ca oamenii din intreaga lume sa le cunoasca, folosind asa-numitul mecanism ''riffle effect'' ceea ce inseamnă promovarea turismului prin utilizarea mass-mediei sau a websit-urilor. Grupul WKS din 2015 este compus din 30 de sustinatori provenind din 13 tari din Asia, Filipine, Thailanda, Indonezia, Malaezia, Singapore, Vietnam, Myanmar, Laos, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Yemen, Turcia, si Uzbekistan. 

Care sunt sarcinile și responsabilitățile? 
Principala sarcina si responsabilitate a unui WKS este aceea de a promova turismul din Coreaa in special locurile care nu sunt inca foarte populare printre turistii straini interesati de Coreea prin conturile SNS, dar fara a se limita la Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumbler, Blog, Youtube etc. folosind limba lor materna sau alte limbi pe care le cunosc. Continutul WKS postale utilizate de obicei includ fotografii si clipuri video facute in timpul calatoriilor de grup sponsorizate de catre KTO. 

In plus, pentru a asigura angajamentul membrilor programului, coordonatorii o sa dea sarcini saptamanale cu diferite teme, care trebuie tratate si terminate cu sarguinta in intervalul de timp dat, afara a negliza misiunea individuala sau de grup, cum ar fi revizuirea generala, in timpul sau dupa excursiile sponsorizate de catre KTO. 

Care sunt avantajele si privilegiile? 
Ca si WKS ai posibilitatea de a calatorii gratuit si de a descoperii minunile ascunse din Coreea si posibilitatea de a te alatura programelor culturale, spectacole, expozitii și festivaluri, sponsorizate in primul rand de catre KTO sau catre alte entitati private. 

Cum sa devii un membru in "Wow Korea Supporters"?

For visitors who wanted to buy souvenirs from the amusement park, various souvenir shops are available and it is usually located at the exit of each ride or attraction.

I was overwhelmed with the cute stuff toys, accessories and notebooks so decided to buy them right after I left specific attraction only to find out that it will be cheaper when you buy them right before you actually go outside of the theme park. 

TIP: Employees sell them at 70% discounts in front of the exit gate when its around 5:00pm and beyond so make sure to buy them that time and not during the middle of the day.
